The center is Japan’s first sports training camp facility dedicated to athletics training. There are various athletics-related facilities and accommodations in the vicinity, making the whole area prepared to welcome athletics training camps.
The athletics stadium, authorized as Category 3 by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) (from April 1, 2019), enjoys Kagoshima’s temperate climate in Osumi’s great nature and has eight all-weather tracks in blue. The indoor stadium, where athletes can train regardless of the weather, is a JAAF-approved facility (from April 1, 2019) with five 150-meter all-weather tracks. The air-conditioned 150-meter straight running track is one of Japan’s best and provides a comfortable practice area for all seasons. The track can also be used for long jump, triple jump, high jump, and pole vault, dramatically expanding training possibilities, whether for track or field events.
